| When the CF Foundation began in 1955, few children with CF lived beyond the age of 3. Today, the median age of survival is 36 -- much improved, but still unacceptable. Although there is no cure today, we have been making rapid progress through research, and we have the tools in hand to develop even more promising new ways to treat the disease. Much work is yet to be done and the CF Foundation is committed to finding a cure and to improving the quality of life for people with the disease. |
